Of course, I still have my addiction to a Diet Coke with cherry and lime in a route 44 size from Sonic. We finally had one open about 20 minutes away and I am driving to get one. I made a promise that I wouldn't go more than once a week.
On a more serious note... Remember my post about our family reunion last June in Texas?
These pictures were taken at our reunion in Surfside, TX near Freeport, TX. Up until last night they were predicting that Hurricane Ike would make a direct landfall on the Freeport/Lake Jackson, TX area. There were pictures all over the news yesterday of Surfside completely under water. It was surreal to see pictures yesterday of the place we were all at in June completely under water. It looks like the Hurricane made landfall a little further NE of Freeport/Lake Jackson. My Nana, Aunt and several cousins still live in this area. My mom grew up there. They all had to evacuate on Thursday. I am hopeful that there homes didn't sustain in major damage and I am very glad that they made it out safely before the hurricane made landfall.
