Halloween 2009

October has been a busy month! We had a great Halloween week! We started off the week by carving pumpkins as a family:

TJ carved a football, Lindsey did a Frankenstein face (mom had to help her as she soon found out it was a little more difficult than she thought), Ashley did a ghost and Blake wanted a bat but his bat had to have eyes (thankfully Dad figured it out).

Halloween night TJ left for a friends party early afternoon, so no pictures of him. Lindsey had friends over to trick or treat with her. Ashley went to her friends, so Jon just had one this year to take around the neighborhood ~ Blake.

Here is Blake with his best friend and neighbor, Thomas.

15 years ago, Jon and I started a tradition of hosting a Halloween Party. There have been sporadic breaks over the years as we moved or I had a baby but we are still going strong with the party. At some point, we may reach a point where we are just too old to do a video scavenger hunt ~ Never too old, right! The kids are starting to ask me if I will do a party for them so I think I may be reaching the end of hosting a party with our friends and shift it to a party for my kids.

As always, it was a BLAST.

We had a Stick Person:

Captain Jack Sparrow and his treasure "Chest":

A grown up (gone bad) Diego and Dora:

A Indiana Jones and words can't really describe Cheerleader:

I was a Sonic Car Hop (I am know for my passion for Sonic drinks around here):

Here is the whole crew:

We had a great Halloween 2009. I can't believe it is already November. Time to start Christmas shopping!

Happy Birthday, Blake!

It is hard for me to believe that this little guy was born 5 years ago.

He is growing up fast on me (they all are)! He lost his first tooth a week after his birthday, where is the time going??? He is so much fun! We had a family celebration on his birthday, October 20.

He wanted his party to be at a place that has "jumpy things" so we had a party at Pump It Up.

He had a great time and I enjoyed the fact that I had to show up with the birthday boy and everything was done for me. The kids had a great time and were exhausted by the end of the party. That means they had fun, right?
